most likely fashioned in the
mid-1950's to early 1960's
. It's a hand painted with semi-transparent glaze, porcelain ceramic ice cream holder or free-standing, upright cup. It features inverted triangles with various interior, repeating, echoing outlines, realized in deep pthalo blue over lighter pthalo blue. Light cerulean blue, upright linear triangles are painted in between inverted darker triangles. The top of the
ceramic ice cream cup or holder
is scalloped, making the piece easily recognizable for frozen desserts and other frozen confectionaries. The glaze is completely hand painted, with organic line that quivers and vibrates, almost nervously, showing the organic nature of the hand application of the glaze. The unevenness of the glaze is intentional and demonstrates a particular

organic conceptual attitude of painterliness and hand artistry. With bubbling, seemingly suspended, liquid-like, semi-transparent glazes.
