  • Condition: Excellent condition, can't find signs of use such as rub marks on the cutter head but the box is pretty shabby and there's a lot of dust and fiber from the box on the tool.     Lead Clipper / Trimmer / Shear for "TO" Can IC's and Transistors, Ephrata Tool / Tran-Sem Tool
    A great timesaving tool for bread-boarding or limited production runs.
    Great condition, in original but worn box
    After shearing all leads will be straight, of uniform length, and have clean undamaged ends.
    Works with TO-5, TO-8, T0-18, TO-39, TO-46, TO-52, TO-72, and possibly other IC or transistor packages (TO = Transistor Outline).
    Works with 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, and 12 lead packages.
    Photos #5 and #8  show the compatible lead arrangements, pay attention to the upper right opening in photo #8, in addition to the 4 obvious holes the back guide may be rotated to allow 12 hole packages.
    Lead length is adjustable, see photo #6 for approximate range of the depth stop.
    Will not work with TO-3 or other packages with heavy leads (the holes are too small).
    Those are copper rivets in photos #4, #5, and #8, not rust.
